Hi I'm Michael Agostini. I want to share a little about my family with you. Your probably thinking Italian ... Right? Your correct my entire family is from New Jersey. We moved to N.C. in 1993 and instantly fell in love with the mountains and the area. I was only a kid when my family moved here and we really didn't know a lot of people, but it didn't take us long before we were just another family in the neighborhood. My parents got into the sign making business and dedicated several years to making some of the best signs in Haywood County. I have an older and younger sister and an identical twin brother. I can remember it like it was yesterday when a neighbor came over to ask my parents if I would be interested in washing dishes at a bbq restaurant in Maggie Valley. I was stoked when my parents said yes. I couldn't wait to make my own money and learn something new. I started out learning the basics and when the manager at that time realized I wanted to learn more, she started showing me the recipes and gave me the opportunity to cook. Before I knew it I was asked to fill in as manager when she wasn't there. I loved it! I started to have this feeling like this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I became accustomed to the sounds of the kitchen and the laughs from the dining room and just enjoying every minute there. It became so natural to me and that's when my big appreciation and drive kicked in for the business. I decided to attend college at Appalachian State University to study business administration with the restaurant in mind and the thought of owning my own restaurant one day. I would return during the summers to work and discovered that my drive was still there. My goals where being achieved and all I could think about was dedicating my knowledge and hard work to the restaurant after I graduated. That day became reality very quick. After 19 years of learning the business, I can finally say I own my own restaurant and there's no better feeling than knowing that all of my hard work and dedication finally proved to pay off. I have a great deal of respect for the business and I couldn't do it with out my wonderful staff and most importantly our awesome customers. I strive to do my very best everyday and expect those who work for me to do the same. We want every customer to not only enjoy the food but to walk away feeling like an appreciated patron.
